Our story
Built on safer staircases — not pushy sales calls.
Most people don't buy a stairlift more than once. It's usually for a parent, after a fall, or when stairs have quietly become a daily worry. That's why we run things calmly and clearly — no pressure, no jargon, just straight answers.
We started fitting lifts across Greater Manchester over a decade ago. Today we're an Acorn-accredited partner with engineers based locally, fitting new straight, curved and fully reconditioned stairlifts — usually within 24–48 hours of the home survey.
The person who surveys your home is the person who fits the lift. No middlemen, no national call centre, no surprise fees on the day.

How we work
What you get with Manchester Stairlifts
No pushy sales

Real homes, real advice
We know Manchester housing — terraces, tight hallways, narrow landings — and we recommend setups that actually work.
Family-run, local team
Local engineers, not a national call centre. The person who surveys is the person who fits.

What we prevent
Common stairlift pitfalls — and how we avoid them
Most stairlift complaints aren't about the lift itself — they're about mismatch. Wrong type for the staircase, awkward parking, unsafe top-landing exit. We sort these on the survey, before you commit.
Wrong stairlift type chosen for the staircase
We confirm shape and landings before quoting.
Awkward parking that blocks hallways
We plan practical parking positions during the survey.
Unsafe entry/exit at the top landing
We prioritise safe transfer at the top — often the hardest part.
Confusing or moving pricing
Fixed all-in prices, explained on the day.
No one to call after fitting
Direct line to the team — 24-hour emergency callouts.
